Privacy, safety and your account

This guide is for every signed-in user. It covers the safety and privacy controls you may need at some point: reporting a video or a comment, changing your cookie and analytics choice, downloading a copy of your data, deleting your account, and managing your email, password, and sessions. You end knowing where each control lives and what happens after you use it.

Before you start

  • Sign in. Reporting while signed out opens a sign-in prompt titled Sign in to report this; after you sign in, the report dialog reopens by itself.
  • The account controls live under Account in the account menu, on the Privacy & Data and Login & Security tabs.

Step 1 — Open the report dialog

On a watch page, the action bar under the player ends with a flag button labeled Report this video (its tooltip reads Report). It is always there, whoever owns the film. For a comment, open the comment's Comment actions menu (the three dots) and choose Report. Both open the same dialog.

The flag button at the end of the action bar under the film, after Tip and Support.

Step 2 — Fill in the report

The dialog is titled Report this video or Report this comment and states the rule up front: A human moderator reviews every report within 24 hours. Nothing is removed automatically. Choose a Reason from the list; the field starts as Select a reason…. Add Details (optional), up to 1000 characters, if it helps the moderator understand the problem. If you pick the copyright reason, a link to the DMCA policy appears under the form.

Click Submit report; the button stays inactive until a reason is chosen. The recording stops before submitting. After a real submit you see Report submitted. If you already have an open report on the same item you see Already reported instead, and no second report is filed. Cancel, Escape, or a click outside the dialog closes it without sending anything. When the moderator decides, an email with the subject Update on your Fluttercube report tells you the outcome.

The Report this video dialog with a reason chosen, the optional details box, and the Submit report button.

Step 3 — Change your cookie and analytics choice

On your first visit the Your privacy choices banner offers Decline analytics and Accept analytics. To change that choice later, open Account → Privacy & Data. The Cookie & analytics consent card at the top shows two rows: Essential cookies with an Always on tag and a locked switch, and Analytics with a switch you can flip. A status line under the rows records when the choice was last updated and where it was made; before any choice it says that analytics are off.

Flipping the switch takes effect immediately and the card confirms with Preference saved. A choice made while signed in is stored on your account and applies in every browser you use.

The Cookie & analytics consent card: Essential cookies locked on, the Analytics switch, and the status line under them.

Step 4 — Export your data

Below the consent card, the Your data card lists what the export contains as a row of chips: Profile, Comments, Watch history, Tips & Support, Watchlist, Follows, Consent records, and Notification preferences. Click Export my data. The button reads Preparing your export… while the file is built, then your browser downloads one JSON file named fluttercube-data-export-<your account id>.json. The export covers your own account only. If it fails, an inline message says so and no partial file is written.

The Your data card with the eight bundle chips and the Export my data button.

Step 5 — Delete your account

The red-bordered Delete account card sits at the bottom of Privacy & Data. Click Delete account to open a dialog with a progress bar at the top and two steps for viewers, three for creators:

  1. Delete your account?, whose subtitle counts the steps and ends in What gets removed, lists Profile & @handle, Watch history, Watchlist, Follows, Notification preferences, and Comment authorship, each tagged removed. A note under the list says that financial records the law requires are kept in de-identified form. Click Continue.
  2. Creators only: This closes your creator account warns that published films and series are removed and the creator wallet is closed, and shows your confirmed wallet balance. A balance at or above the payout minimum has to settle through the monthly payout first, via a payout account connected in your Wallet. A smaller balance needs a ticked acknowledgment that it will be forfeited.
  3. Confirm deletion: type DELETE in the field and click Delete my account. You are signed out and land on Home.

The recording stops at the first step. Cancel, the close button, or Escape at any step closes the dialog with no change. Deletion is permanent.

The first step of the delete dialog, listing what gets removed, with Cancel and Continue at the bottom.

Step 6 — Manage your email, password, and sessions

Open Account → Login & Security. Three cards, top to bottom:

  • Email address shows your Current email and a New email field. Click Update email and a confirmation link goes to the new address; the account email changes only once you confirm it there. Until then the card shows Pending confirmation with a Resend link button.
  • Password asks for Current password, New password (At least 8 characters), and Confirm new password; click Change password. The new password must differ from the current one. A Password updated toast confirms it and you stay signed in.
  • Sessions, further down the page than the screenshot shows, offers Sign out of all devices. It opens Sign out of all devices? with Stay signed in and Sign out everywhere; confirming ends every session, including the one you are using.
The Login & Security tab with the Email address card at the top and the Password card under it.

Good to know

  • Reports are routed and recorded, never judged by software. The 24-hour review window applies to every report, and you cannot open a second report on the same item while the first is pending.
  • Copyright claims follow the DMCA policy at /legal/dmca (footer link DMCA). The report dialog links to it when you choose the copyright reason.
  • Analytics are off by default. A choice made while signed out is stored in that browser only; a choice made while signed in is stored on the account and takes precedence.
  • The export is a machine-readable JSON file, generated on the spot, and never includes anyone else's data.
  • Deleting a creator account with money owed never forfeits it silently: the balance is paid out first, or you acknowledge the forfeiture explicitly.
  • The Notifications tab controls which optional emails you receive. Account and safety messages, such as a report outcome, are always sent.
  • Titles marked 16+ ask for your date of birth once, with no ID, and reuse the answer for every 16+ title. Accounts under 16 cannot watch them.
